Can I start a new reputation?

I'm going into Junior High next year, and would like to start a new reputation. In my old school, I was known as the tom boyish, antisocial girl who no one really cared for. Over the summer, I've changed a lot. I've gotten more "girly" and more... "nice" you could say? I was always the one who would wear the camo stuff, and now I'm thinking about cheerleading. I've got a feeling if I try to go for it, people will call me fake and say I'm copying other people. What do I do?
