Extroverted people- please answer?

I understand the definition of the extroverted personality, I just don't understand how someone could love people that much, or love socializing so much, etc. I'm not antisocial or anything, but I would love for someone to describe your life/personality being an extrovert. What do you emotionally gain from being around people? Do you like to be the center of attention? (not meant to sound bad, haha). Do you like to show your talents? What do you love to do? Thank you.
