None of my friends care, I have no-one, too antisocial?

I have one best friend who is great. But she has better things to do right now. My best friend is drop dead gorgeous...so every time a make a guy friend, they dont care about me, all they care about is being close to her. Nobody here wants to talk to me nor acknowlege me when i try to make an effort. I have done nothing wrong but nobody seems to accept me here. I'm not ugly. I'm not a *****... I'm an american living in australia... I have some great friends in America who actually do care about me... I just want to go back home but I cant for at least another year and a half til I go to uni. How can I keep my sanity for that long?
